Itamar welcomes back Rabbi Moshe and Leah Goldsmith who were on a speaking tour on behalf of the projects The Friends of Itamar supports- for safety, educational needs, building projects, agriculture based on organic ideology methods and everything entailed in making our community a better and safer place to live. We would like to express our thanks and appreciation to all the people who made it happen.
Only a few hours before the New Year sets in here in Israel, we are working very hard to complete a new garden project before the Sabbatical year begins. Another hidden blessing of the Sabbatical year is that everyone wants to plant trees and beautify their gardens before a long year of rest begins. This motivates the beautifying of the land of Israel.
Mazal tov to the Dagan family on the birth of a son and to the Ben – Shitrit family on the birth of a daughter. Many new babies are being born here and the community is growing bebracha gedolah.
With great happiness after three decades since the founding of our community, we are proud to announce the inauguration of our permanent synagogue built in memory of Yonah Menachem Rennert that will take place G-D willing on the 18th of Tishray/Sunday October 12 2014 at six o’clock in the evening on Chol Hamoed Succot. This event will be attended by Rabbi Shlomo Amar, Rabbi Meir Lau, Housing Minister – Uri Ariel, Knesset members, Ira Rennert, and other honored guests. At the same time, we will also celebrate a new Torah scroll inauguration dedicated to the heroes of Itamar that lost their lives in terror attacks over the years. We want to thank all our dear friends of Itamar who have participated in the building of the beautiful synagogue. It is not too late for those who want to contribute and be part of this special project. Please join us with your family and friends. Those interested please contact us. If enough people sign up we will provide a bus from Jerusalem and give you a great tour of the community
This week a Lechaim was held for the Itamar staff and workers as an expression of appreciation of their devoted service to the community throughout the year. We are very blessed to have such a special group of workers.
This week we had a meeting between the new families and our council welcoming them in their joining the community and to explain the new housing opportunities on the community. This past month eleven new families joined the community. Right now we are in the process of building another new neighborhood.
