Itamar News Updates Oct 30th 2020
We are happy to announce that soon another housing project will begin on Itamar. This project entails the building of another 14 houses on the Northern side of our community.
We recently finished a road connecting the central part of Itamar to the new high school campus.
We want to thank Itamar’s chief Rabbi – Rabbi Natan Chay who recently retired after 30 years of service to the community. We wish him a lot of success in his future endeavors. At the same time, we are happy to welcome the new Rabbi of Itamar Rabbi Daniel Lunzer. We wish him a lot of success in his new position.
YAD LEAH sent another shipment to Israel recently, Itamar benefitting from good quality clothing at a time when here during the closure all clothing stores were and are closed. Thank you Jessica Katz!!!!! And Karen Thaler. For your incredible self-sacrifice in this endeavor!
In honor of Parashat Lech Lecha we visited nearby Elon Moreh and went to the beautiful winery there, met with Itamar Viess the owner, who offered us delicious tastings of dry red wine fermenting in oak barrels here in the mountains of shechem, Abraham’s first stop in the Land. It’s been incredible seeing the entire topography of this area change over the last three decades and a blessing to taste award winning Shiraz. We toast to hearing good tidings soon!
Watch Rabbi Goldsmith’s lesson for the week on current events.
