Itamar News November 25, 2016
First of all we are all very concerned about the outbreak of arson incidents attacking Israel with over a thousand sources of fire related terror incidents in Israel in the last few days. Thousands of people including seniors from nursing homes, children and whole families were evacuated as their homes and cars burned to the ground as gas balloons exploded, gas stationed blew up and even main roads with thousands of travelers were closed because of the danger. Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu said he would deal with the perpetrators with a harsh punishment. Those who burn our Land are not worthy to live in it. Words truly cannot describe the devastation waged on our country, many places and whole neighborhoods looking apocalyptic and burnt completely. So far a number of assailants have been apprehended and the search goes on to catch many more. This should be a time of rain and chesed but an extreme eastern dry wind coupled with the fact that is has not rained at all in many months has made it a time of Din and Judgement. We ask all lovers of Israel to pray and send help. Here in Itamar just last night our surveillance camera caught arsonists on their way to light fires in our southern forests- thank Hashem we were able to prevent a major fire here!
Friends of Itamar appreciate the support you have all shown over the years. We couldn’t do any of the things that make it a safer place and a better place without your help. Enjoy the short clip of thanx and feel included on our front page and on our Facebook.Toda Raba!
We welcomed a group from Germany this week- Werner Hartstock led the group who were very happy to meet people here and get to know the community. Ornah Hirschberg an Itamar resident who is an expert in Biblical weaving methods gave a short lecture to the group on her latest projects which involve reconstructing the curtains of the Tabernacle.
This week activities for all of our youth groups resumed- we are happy they all take part in community responsibilities, in a few years they will be the leaders!
Happy Thanksgiving weekend for all of American Friends! Shabbat Shalom!
