Itamar News Updates May 1st 2015
Itamar celebrated its 31st birthday on Israel Independence Day – it was marked as usual by a beautiful celebration which was attended by the entire community.
Memorial Day was very difficult as always remembering our dear residents that gave their lives for the land of Israel. Unfortunately, the list grew this year as Shachar Shalev HYD of blessed memory a former student in Itamar’s high school( Chitzim) fell in battle in Gaza this past summer.
We want to thank Hashem for the miracle that took place this week in the village right below us called Hawarah – a resident of the Shomron was driving through the village and was firebombed. Although, his car was completely burnt to the ground he was able to get out in time. Thank G-D, there were no children in the back of the car – there wouldn’t have been enough time to rescue them.
We welcomed Rabbi Richman who brought an enthusiastic group from Minnesota.
