Dearest Friends a terrible fire on Friday destroyed the farm of the Melet family on Itamar. The farm included an olive and grain presses, an olive orchard, a storage freezer, 2 warehouses, a fork lift, containers of produce, and a solar energy system. Barak has literally spent years of hard labor building up his farm. It was a favorite spot for many tourists when visiting Itamar. Unfortunately, it now it lies in ruins. In your merit, fire extinguishing equipment that we purchased with Friends of Itamar donations helped put out the fire before it spread to our neighborhoods and other areas of the community!
