Itamar News Updates April 26th 2013
Itamar welcomed our dear friends Anita and Enrico Zbaeren from Switzerland who came to spend a weekend with us. They are a very special couple who love Israel and have taken a special interest in Itamar and it’s baby boom- THANK YOU from all of us for the stunning baby clothes and all of your support!
Enjoy some pictures of the Itamar farms. The blessing of the bounty of the land can really be felt here!
This week’s Torah portion centers on the laws pertaining to the Cohanim (the Priests) – enjoy the picture of Jerusalem taken from Mt. Olives which gives you an amazing look on to the Temple Mt. – The holy site of the Divine service. This week we celebrated Pesach Shaynee when the pilgrims had a second chance to go up and celebrate if they missed the first date of Pesach.
Yehivat Chitzim, the Itamar high school, which dorms boys from all over Israel, is planning on building a permanent campus. It is a very special academy helping students with slight learning difficulties . Many of our young men have graduated and done army service only to return to live on Itamar permanently. This is a vital project and very important not only for the boys but for the growth and prosperity of the community.
We would like to remind our friends that we have a Facebook site which has grown to almost 4,000 likes! Itamar Israel Support Group- please feel free to visit us on facebook!
Watch Rabbi Goldsmith’s Torah lesson on this week’s portion.
