Itamar welcomed the visit of Mitch Aeder and his two lovely daughters Elisheva and Leora from Queens NY that came to spend a Shabbat on Itamar. They toured the community and the fact that they were dressed for Shabbat didn’t stop them from planting trees.
We welcomed the visit of Ariel Tonkin from Berkley California and her friend Sarah who came to spend Shabbat on Itamar.
Although the snow has almost melted we cannot forget the damages that it left behind! First of all, we want to thank all those who have responded to our appeal. May G-D bless you all! We still need a lot more assistance so anyone that can lend a helping hand please see this link.
On the other hand, we can’t forget the tremendous blessing of the huge amount of precious rain water and melted snow that after many dry months Israel’s streams were again running with water. Unfortunately, most of the rain water flows to the sea and is not utilized. Here on Itamar the people value natural resources and feel connected to the earth, we have figured out means to conserve water by collecting it. We are trying to promote people save rain water by channeling it from roof tops into storage pools.
